Children Who Witness Abuse –This program offers free and confidential individual counseling to children from pre-school age to 18 years and  includes a component for parents, that may include individual counseling, support, parent education and referral to a parenting group in the community. 

Parent – Teen Mediation Program  - The Parent-Teen Mediation program helps you have a relationship that supports both teen and parent. A mediator is a neutral third party who sits down with you and your parent, and helps you have an organized conversation about what is happening in your lives and in your house.

This program provides a process for resolving conflict between parents and youth ages 11-19, as well as between youth in school. Services include parent-teen mediation, youth-youth mediation, and anger management, and are contracted by MCFD and School District #47. Referrals are open, and made by phoning Powell River Child, Youth, and Family Services
at 604-485-3090
